You are visiting our site today because of a choice – not your choice, but that of loving individuals who said "yes" to embracing your life. Some are not so fortunate, their lives cut short due to the lack of support and options necessary for their mothers to feel they can choose life.
We invite you to say "yes" this year to embracing the lives of the innocent unborn. Please make plans to attend or support The Bishop's 16th Annual Catholic Pro-Life Dinner to be hosted by the Most Reverend Kevin J. Farrell, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Dallas, on Saturday, March 28, 2009, at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas. The funds raised at this event will be critical for continuing the life-saving work of the Catholic Pro-Life Committee, the most comprehensive and organized diocesan pro-life organization in the country that was founded in the city where Roe v. Wade began. All dinner proceeds fund our nine life-saving ministries that provide supportive services for mothers, pro-life education, prayer, public witness and civic action to protect babies in danger of abortion and to build a culture of life. This year, we thank our honorary chairs Joe & Rebeca Peterman and welcome as our keynote speaker Gianna Jessen, a singer, marathon runner and compelling witness to the sanctity of every human life.
With a new President who considers the Freedom of Choice Act to be an enhancement of American freedom – rather than an affront to the most basic freedom of the right to life – we as life-loving citizens must respond with charity, determination and education. This year's dinner theme, "Life, the First Right," calls us to ponder and to share the founding American principle to which we must return, for the sake of the children and our country's future. Join us in an uplifting, inspiring evening to celebrate and defend life!
