Daniel Cardinal DiNardo

Archbishop of Galveston-Houston
Chair of the U.S. Bishops' Committee on Pro-Life Activities

Appointed archbishop in 2004, Daniel DiNardo became the first Cardinal in Texas history on November 24, 2007.  In 2009 he was named Chair of the USCCB Committee on Pro-Life Activities, where he advocates for the sanctity of human life, in accordance with the teaching of the Church.  Prior to his present appointment as Archbishop of Galveston-Houston, he served as Bishop of Sioux City, Iowa.  He is a native of Steubenville, Ohio, and was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Pittsburgh on July 16, 1977.  He has a graduate degree in theology from Gregorian University in Rome.

In his new post with the USCCB, Cardinal DiNardo is an outspoken advocate of public policies that protect innocent human life.  "After receiving materials regarding the health care debate from the U.S. Bishops' Conference yesterday, I am compelled to urge the Catholic faithful to pray that Congress will act to insure that needed reform will truly protect the life, dignity and health care of all," Cardinal DiNardo said in a statement on October 29, 2009.  "We need reform that protects life, not threatens it."

"You can see he's just deeply committed to the defense of human life," said Deirdre McQuade, spokeswoman for the USCCB's Pro-Life Secretariat, pointing to the Cardinal's many discourses on life issues. - www.catholic.org

Abby Johnson

Former Planned Parenthood Director

Abby Johnson was the director of Planned Parenthood of Houston & Southeast Texas' Bryan abortion facility for two years, and was affiliated with Planned Parenthood for a total of eight years.  When Planned Parenthood began pressuring her to bring in more abortions, she came to the realization that the organization's primary focus was not teen pregnancy prevention, but increasing revenue from abortions.  She nevertheless continued at her job until her moment of truth - one day, while assisting with an ultrasound-guided abortion, Abby viewed an unborn 13-week-old child moving away from the suction apparatus as the child was being aborted.  Don't miss this opportunity to hear a touching testimony and a shocking exposure of the realities of the abortion industry.  See an interview of Abby by clicking here.
