Volunteer and Committee Needs

 

Call Jacquelyn at 214-457-5128 if you can help in any of the following areas.


Accounting

-  Keep track of payment of registration fees

-  Bookkeeping of Boot Camp budget

-  Payment of vendors (UD, shirts, speakers, etc…)

-  Keep track of petty cash and receipts


Promotions

-  Assist with mailings to youth, Local Youth Ministers, Regional Directors of Youth Ministry, Diocesan Directors of Respect Life, State Right to Life groups, Life Teen contacts, etc…


Registration

-  Keep track of all registrations as they come in

-  Start waiting list if necessary

-  Send registration information packets to people as registrations are accepted

-  Keep official list of those attending


Check-In / Check-Out

-  Coordinate check-in and check-out procedures and volunteers for both Session 1 and 2

-  One person assigned to be responsible for the keys

-  One person assigned to inspect dorms before and after camp


Service Day Coordinator - (Sundays, July 3 and August 2, are our off site service project days during each Session)

-  Find locations in Dallas and Ft. Worth for groups of our youth to do service projects

-  Group sizes would be about 20 youth and adults at approximately 4 service sites

-  Projects should be pro-life in nature

-  Create maps and itinerary for the day (day must include prayer at an abortion center and Mass) 

Transportation

- Coordinate busses and van transportation for youth and adults during Boot Camp (including transporation for prayer at abortion centers, daily Mass and Sunday Mass at different churches, and Sunday service days)

-  Secure Safe Environment Clearance and proof of insurance for drivers

-  Coordinate payment of fees and gas expenses

-  Create maps and itineraries for drivers


Safe Environment

-  Secure Safe Environment Clearance for every adult age 18+ who will be working with youth at Boot Camp


Security/Volunteers

-  Coordinate volunteers to act as night time patrol

-  Coordinate relief chaperones for free time and other activities as necessary

-  Work with Safe Environment Director to secure clearance on volunteers


Hospitality Baskets

-  Create hospitality baskets/bags for each youth and adult

-  Create baskets for bathrooms with toiletry items people might have forgotten (3 bathrooms) 

-  Collect items for above baskets and bags from donors

 

Chaperone Coordinator

-  Communicate with Chaperones prior to camp

-  Conduct Jr. Staff and Chaperones trainings at camp

-  Conduct regular meetings with Jr. Staff and Chaperones during camp
