SCAT (Sidewalk Counseling All-Night Training) is for all youth ages 14 and up who want to learn how to sidewalk counsel or be an effective prayer partner for someone who is counseling. (Pictures from the last SCAT training)

Sidewalk counseling is the last chance effort, at the doors of death, to convert the heart of the mother and save both her and her child as she enters the abortion mill. Sidewalk counselors are trained to offer alternatives to the women and men going in, and referrals for post-abortion healing to those leaving. Sidewalk counseling, or becoming a prayer partner for a counselor, is an easy way for young people to become actively pro-life.

Even if you don't feel called to be a sidewalk counselor, it is good to know how it is done. And don't forget that praying is just as important as the actual counseling and we can always use more people to pray. Either way, we guarantee this is one experience you will not forget!

The fun begins on Friday, June 27th at 5:00 pm with dinner followed by a lively training at 7:00 pm with the awesome Maria! After the training we will do some role-playing, hang out for a while and get some sleep. Saturday morning we start early with Mass and then head off to an abortion center to pray and put our new sidewalk counseling skills to work. After a few hours we then return to eat lunch and talk about what we just experienced. We will be done by 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 28th.

The cost is only $10.00 person and you can register online. You will also be asked to bring one food item for one of the three shared meals.

You will also need to print off and fill out the medical and general release forms before the training begins.
