About Catholic Advocacy Day:

This legislative advocacy day is an opportunity for Catholics around the state to participate in the political process by voicing the concerns of the Texas Bishops.   Participants are invited to visit the State Capitol and advocate for the Texas Bishops’ Legislative Agenda.

With the newly elected legislature, 2013 promises to be an interesting and exciting time for grassroots efforts to further policies protecting the dignity of all persons in accord with Catholic social teaching.   Texas Catholics presented a unified front on one day to support policies in furtherance of Life, Justice, Charity and Religious Freedom.

In cooperation with the Texas Catholic Conference, Catholic Charities of Dallas, Catholic Pro-Life Committee of North Texas and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Dallas helped train and organize the Dallas delegation who participated in the 2013 Advocacy Day.
