June 16-July 26 40 Days for Life McKinney
The Christian community throughout north Collin County is invited to take part in a peaceful prayer vigil lasting 40 straight days from June 16 through July 26. Please consider volunteering to pray outside of the new "Planned Parenthood Express" (not an abortion facility, but refers for abortions and dispenses the morning-after pill) for one or more hours during the 40 days. You do not need to have any previous experience or expertise to participate. You are simply praying. The only qualification is that you wish to serve Christ by peacefully praying for an end to abortion and for peace and healing for those victimized by the abortion industry. We will also be having prayer times at local churches during the days that the PPE is closed. For more information, or to volunteer to help, please contact Melaine Gutierrez, 214-385-6823, or visit the web site http://www.freewebs.com/mckinneyprayervigil.

22 Young Adult Holy Hour with the Eucharist, Sacrament of Life
The Eucharist is the Sacrament of Life. "I am the Bread of Life. He who eats this bread will live forever. I will raise Him up on the last day." (See Jn.6:47-58) The Eucharistic sacrifice is the very action of Christ by which He destroyed our death and restored our life. Whenever we gather for this sacrifice we are celebrating the victory of life over death, and therefore over abortion. The pro-life movement is not simply working "for" victory; we are working "from" victory. As the Holy Father said in Denver in 1993, "Have no fear. The outcome of the battle for life is already decided." Our work is to apply the already established victory to every facet of our society. Celebrating the Eucharist is the source and summit of such work.
All young adults are invited to a night of Eucharistic Adoration with Fr. Solanus Benfatti, a Franciscan Friar of the Renewal. Music and food will follow. 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 5231 Meadowcreek Dr., Dallas.
