Every voice matters in the public forum. . . . Every act of responsible citizenship is an exercise of significant individual power. - Living the Gospel of Life

On April 9, 2013, you have the opportunity to exercise that power with fellow Catholics from all over Texas at Catholic Advocacy Day at the Capitol in Austin! Together, we will advocate for legislation that promotes life, dignity and the common good.  We are called to protect the dignity of all human persons.  We are called to be a voice for the voiceless!

Here's how you can make a difference:

  1. Attend a training session on Wednesday, March 6 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store, 3052 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX 75220.  Learn about the Texas Bishops' legislative priorities and how to be an effective advocate.  A light dinner will be servedClick here to register for the training.

  2. Set aside Tuesday, April 9 to travel to Austin, joining our Bishops and thousands of Catholics from throughout the state to promote Life, Justice, Charity, and Religious Freedom.  (Bus transportation available for $10 per person.)  Click here to register for Advocacy Day.

Advocacy Day only happens once every two years – that's 1 day out of every 730!!

The goal for our Diocese is to send 301 advocates, and we can't do it without you!

Can you spare just 1 day?
