Texas Wins Stay to Keep De-Funding Planned Parenthood

Texas has won a stay from a federal appeals court to continue de-funding Planned Parenthood while the lawsuit the abortion business filed to keep its taxpayer funding stream going continues in court.

As LifeNews reported . . . , a federal judge ruled against Texas in its attempt to revoke taxpayer funding for the Planned Parenthood abortion business through its statewide family planning and women’s health program.*

Planned Parenthood filed a lawsuit against Texas contending that the new law prohibiting it from participating in the Women’s Health Program is unconstitutional discrimination. The lawsuit asked the court for an injunction to stop enforcement of the rules preventing Planned Parenthood from getting taxpayer funding via the program, saying the rules violate their rights by putting an “unconstitutional condition on their participation” in the Women’s Health Program.  Continue reading.

Cemetery of Innocents Gravesite Memorial Service – with special remembrance of Fr. Edward Robinson, O.P.

Date: Sunday, May 20
Please join us at the gravesite of some 1,500 aborted babies whose bodies were recovered from the trash and buried at Calvary Hill.  The service will include a special remembrance of Father Edward Robinson, O.P., whose tireless devotion to life inspired us all.  Fr. Robinson passed to his eternal reward on March 29 and is buried just a few feet from the babies.  Please bring flowers.
