Choose Life License Plates Now Available – Join the Celebration Next Thursday!

The Choose Life specialty license plate is on sale across the state, benefiting organizations that provide counseling and material assistance to pregnant women considering placing their unborn children for adoption, including pregnancy resource centers and Gabriel Projects.

On Thursday, December 8, we will celebrate this landmark for life, 10 years in the making, at a Choose Life License Plate Launch Celebration.  The reception is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 10110 Shoreview Drive, Dallas 75238.  The sponsors of the legislation authorizing this specialty license plate are expected to be in attendance.  RSVP to or call 512-477-1244.

How can you save an innocent life?  Come learn the Msgr. Philip Reilly method of peaceful, prayerful presence which has helped more than 22,000 mothers turn away from abortion in New York and 5,000 mothers here in Dallas.  If you feel called to be a prayer partner for a sidewalk counselor, then this training is also for you!

Bishop's Dinner Kickoff Party this Sunday

National Night of Prayer for Life Next Week

Date: Thursday, Dec. 8-9
National Night of Prayer for Life unites parishes in an effort to end abortion through Eucharistic Adoration and prayers of reparation during the night hours spanning the Feasts of the Immaculate Conception and Our Lady of Guadalupe’s first apparition to Saint Juan Diego.  The “hour of unity” is from 11:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (CT), so that all the parishes in the four time zones can be linked in prayer across our continent.  Click here for a partial listing of participating parishes.

On January 21, 2012, Dallas will mark the 39th memorial anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's tragic Roe v. Wade decision of January 22, 1973, making abortion available on demand in America through all 9 months of pregnancy and leading to the death of over 52 million unborn children.  Join Dallas Bishop Kevin J. Farrell and Fort Worth Bishop Kevin W. Vann, diocesan clergy and thousands of people of faith to pray for an end to the scourge of abortion on our city and country, to witness publicly, and rally and march for a Culture of Life.

Youth For Life Trip to Texas Rally for Life in Austin

Youth For Life is going to Austin for the Texas March and Rally for Life on January 27-29!  The trip is open to youth, grades 8-12.  Register and learn more at prolifedallas.org/yflaustin.   Early registration discount ends Dec. 9.  We are also in need of Safe Environment-cleared chaperones age 21+.

Planned Parenthood Building Big North Texas Abortion Biz

When it comes to Planned Parenthood in Texas, the favorite child is the Houston abortion facility that opened last year, offering a full range of services including late-term abortions. But in the works is a multi-million dollar abortion center in another part of the state, as Planned Parenthood of North Texas (PPNT) is in the midst of a capital campaign to replace its Fort Worth facility with a sprawling new center to expand its services.
