![]() Dear Brother Knight, Last year’s Order of the Hours program was a huge success! During the 2011 40 Days for Life-Dallas campaign, the Dallas Diocese Knights of Columbus helped keep the vigil night hours between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. filled. This incredible assistance made it possible to maintain the round-the-clock vigil covering the Southwestern late-term abortion center in prayer for 40 days. Over 6,200 people participated in Dallas, making it the world’s largest 40 Days for Life vigil ever. And God heard our continuous and fervent prayers! 23 babies were saved from abortion at Southwestern (that we know of), plus 92 more lives were saved at the other four wounds on our community during the campaign. To honor their commitment to life, the Life Guardians, Knight Owls and Admirals of the Ark from the 2011 campaign will be recognized at the 40 Days for Life-Dallas Kickoff Rally next Tuesday, September 25 at 6:30 p.m. in Harry S. Moss Park (SE corner of Royal Lane and Greenville Avenue). There will be a Color Guard at the Rally, and Dallas Diocesan Deputy Roger Scott will hand out the certificates of recognition to members of Councils 11862, 7017, 830, 7850, 8954 and 12300. Come honor your brothers and take the opportunity to sign up, because as a Knight, you’ll want to be involved. Here’s how. 40 Days for Life-Dallas Needs You Again this Year! There are three levels of the Order of the Hours:
There are five (count ‘em, 5) different ways to sign up to be a Knight Owl this year.
Just pick the one that works best for you. It’s that easy! As Jesus said, “It is not the will of your heavenly Father that one of these little ones should perish.” Join your Brother Knights in defense of the defenseless, protection of the innocent and service to the Culture of Life!
