The Medicaid Women's Health Program (WHP) provides preventative health services to low-income women. During the last Texas legislative session, a law was passed that cut abortion providers and affiliates of abortion providers from the WHP. Governor Perry is currently working to implement that law. This would only affect Planned Parenthood providers, of which there are fewer than 100, compared to more than 2,000 other WHP providers which are not affected.*
The Obama Administration has threatened to kill the entire Women's Health Program in Texas if Planned Parenthood is excluded.
The media is building a formidable negative and disingenuous campaign to discredit and weaken the resolve of Texas leaders to enforce the law excluding Planned Parenthood from the WHP.
We need to counter with a grassroots campaign to support the effort to implement the Texas law as passed that will result in Planned Parenthood losing its taxpayer funding.

Dear Governor Perry,
Thank you for insisting that Texas law (Senate Bill 7, passed last summer) be followed so that abortion providers like Planned Parenthood and their affiliates do not receive Women's Health Program funds. Please stand firm and make sure my tax dollars do not go to support the abortion industry.
