U.S. Bishops express "profound regret" about shooting death of abortion doctor

Cardinal Justin Rigali, Archbishop of Philadelphia and chairman of the bishops’ Committee on Pro-Life Activities, released a statement on Monday, June 1, following the shooting death of George Tiller.  The Catholic Pro-Life Committee unequivocally condemns the use of violence in the struggle to restore the legal recognition of our unborn brothers' and sisters' inalienable right to life, and in all pro-life efforts.
