The CPLC Director of Communications is a full-time position responsible for maximizing current communication technologies and opportunities to educate, unite and mobilize Catholics in the Diocese of Dallas as well as the general public to support and participate in the programs, ministries, initiatives, and activities of the Catholic Pro-Life Committee.
Superior oral and written communications
Knowledge of and professional experience with current communication technologies, including social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc), e-mail marketing software, and website content management
Demonstrated organizational and project management skills
Ability to problem solve, multi-task and prioritize demands
Initiative to recommend and execute timely responses to opportunities and challenges
Other desired skills and experience
Previous marketing experience
Previous supervisory experience
Graphic design training and/or experience
Familiarity with / prior use of website content management tools
Involvement in pro-life ministry either as staff or volunteer
Media and/or public relations experience a plus
Experience with the following technical tools preferred: Microsoft Suite, including Word, Publisher and Excel; Constant Contact or similar e-communication tool; LiveSite or similar website content management tool
Every year, the Convert-to-Life Ministry of the Catholic Pro-Life Committee offers paid summer internships for college students interested in sidewalk counseling. Dozens of men and women have gone through our summer internship program and gone on to teach others how to sidewalk counsel.
