Dr. Frank Beckwith, author of “Defending Life: A Moral and Legal Case Against Abortion Choice,is the guest speaker at the 2010 Cambridge School of Dallas Faith and Lecture Series.  His lecture is titled “Faith, Reason and Christian Citizenship.   This annual series provides a lecture on the interface of faith, education and culture that covers topics of interest which are relevant to the School’s Guiding Principles.  It is free to the public and is not a fundraiser. 

Dr. Beckwith is Professor of Philosophy & Church-State Studies at Baylor University and he also teaches courses in the Departments of Political Science and Religion.  He holds multiple degrees, has been widely published and has served on the executive committees of both the Society of Christian Philosophers (1999-2002) and the Evangelical Philosophical Society (1998-2003), as well as on the national board of the University Faculty for Life (1999-present). He was the 57th President of the Evangelical Theological Society (November 2006-May 2007) and was selected as the 2007 Person of the Year by Inside the Vatican Magazine.  His complete biography can be found at his website www.francisbeckwith.com
