“The Pill Kills” Educational Seminar

Saturday, June 4, 2011 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

On June 7, 1965, the U.S. Supreme Court decriminalized poison in the form of “the pill,” resulting in increased divorce rates, physical and psychological changes in women, and even very early abortions.

This year, Dallas has been chosen as the location for the national seminar and nationwide public witness against the birth control pill and other birth control products on Saturday, June 4.  Many cities across America will be joining in this prayer and public witness. The theme for this year's event is "The Pill Kills Marriage."  The event will begin with 8:00 a.m. Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9643 Ferndale, Dallas.  After Mass, participants will go to Planned Parenthood abortion center, 7424 Greenville Ave., arriving  between 8:45 a.m. - 9:00 a.m., for a 45 minute peaceful “sign and public” witness.  (‘The Pill Kills’ signs will be furnished.)  Following the public witness, a half-day seminar will convene at St. Patrick's Parish Center, featuring nationally recognized Fr. Daniel McCaffrey of Natural Family Planning Outreach and Rita Diller, National Director of STOPP Planned Parenthood.  Cost for the seminar is $10/person, including lunch and materials.
